Preparation and performance study of antibacterial materials of magnesium oxide nanoparticles

With the improvement of people’s living standards, a clean and hygienic living environment has gradually become the goal that people pursue. In this situation, how to effectively inhibit the growth and reproduction of harmful bacteria, or completely kill harmful bacteria, this issue is getting more and more attention from the world. Because of the shortcomings and limitations of silver and titanium dioxide antimicrobial agents such as easy to discolor and need ultraviolet light irradiation, and magnesium oxide nano can overcome the above problems and antibacterial, so it has an important application prospect, and magnesium oxide nano antimicrobial materials have gradually become a hot spot for research in recent years.

In this paper, magnesium chloride, ammonia and tetra-n-butyl titanate were used as the main raw materials to prepare fine and uniform magnesium oxide nanopowders and titanium-doped magnesium oxide powders by chemical precipitation method. The powders were characterized by TG-DTA, XRD, TEM and XRF, and the effects of titanium doping on the antibacterial properties of magnesium oxide were investigated.

The process parameters such as...
