The main Research on Magnesium Oxide are as follows:

(1) According to the coating mechanism and the characteristics of magnesium oxide, the selection method of silicon steel grade magnesium oxide is proposed. The action mechanism of magnesium oxide in the production of grain-oriented silicon steel is analyzed, and the characteristic characterization test method of silicon steel grade magnesium oxide is proposed. Through the characterization detection of magnesium oxide and the comparison of microscopic structure differences, the selection basis of silicon steel grade magnesium oxide is proposed .

(2) Developed a magnesia coating system for oriented silicon steel. The factors affecting the coating thickness of magnesia coating were analyzed, and based on this as the design principle of magnesia coating system, a coating system consisting of coating machine, drying and curing furnace, and coiling machine was designed, and the A predictive control method for coating thickness based on soft sensing is presented.
